Kate and I are interested in a “self storage manager” position. We are making plans to move already. We presently live in the wrong climate for Kate’s arthritis.

 

I have been self employed and in management for most of my adult life. I ran a hardware store with about 25 employees in Minnesota for 15 years.

 

I started and operated the “Independent Safety Commission” during the 1980’s and part of the 90’s and then was in the security business while I went back to school in the late 90’s. I worked in full time ministry from 1998 to 2004. Exact dates and names are, of course, all available.

 

I am disabled because of surgery in 2004, but am totally capable of managing and operating a storage and security complex.

 

My education includes St. Cloud University in Business Marketing. Three different sales enhancement schools and Liberty College for the ministry. My life long training has been in business development and sales. I have over 30 years experience in individual sales, local business sales and corporate sales.

 

Kate and I together make a very good, complete management team. My strengths are sales, customer service and relations, sales, business promotion and development and more sales. Kates’ strengths compliment mine. She has worked in office environments and in sales. Kate owned and operated her own home cleaning service and is very detail and customer service oriented. However, heavy lifting and structural maintenance are outside of our capabilities. We would simply need a handy man available.

 

I am computer literate, but would need to be trained on any management software that is used. I am very familiar with web site management and lead development.

 

I presently work as a volunteer Christian minister. Honesty and Integrity are core values in our lives.

 

I do realize that in business the customer is always right (to the correct degree), yet am totally capable of saying no to unreasonable requests. There is an art form involved there, which is at the heart of good customer relations and PR. If given an inch, some tenants may claim a mile.

 

Our geographical boundaries seem to be limited to west of about Arkansas and south of about Omaha, Nebraska. Neither Kate nor I can do ice very well. I prefer not to move my wife into a rough, inner city situation. But otherwise we are very, very open. That is one of the true benefits of being at this stage in our life.

 

Lots of personal and professional references are available upon request. Security, FBI and police background checks have recently been done because of our involvement with our local volunteer police department in Kearny, Arizona.
